This summer, Robby and I went back to Virginia to visit his family. That’s where he is from, Roanoke, VA. This is one of my homes away from home. I’m fortunate to have many of these around the world, in France, New Zealand and the U.S. This western part of Virginia is especially pretty in the summer months, when the lush vegetation takes over everything and becomes candy for the eyes with all its different shades of green and the eternal Blue Ridge Mountains as a backdrop. If you get a chance, do a portion (what I did) or all of the Appalachian Trail (one of my many dreams) that passes right outside of town. As for what to do in this town, here are some of my favorites…
I have no idea, I always stay with my in-laws.
